Give the potential member your full name and your most reliable contact email.

Instruct them to fill out the application and enter your details in the final section.

If the person you refer becomes a paying member of the program, you'll earn a referral bonus.

Important details

This is a closed group with an application process, so not all people who apply will be invited to join.
Only qualified applicants will get to the end of the application and have the opportunity to name you as a referral.
Your referral bonus is a one-time benefit. (No ongoing affiliate payouts.)
The bonus is for approved new members who join the currently open cohort. (If applications are closed, there is no way to name you as a referrer.)
I'll notify you via email when you earn a referral bonus, and you must reply to my email within 14 days to claim your bonus. (Please add hi@suebrownmoore.com to your accepted-senders list.)
The reward process is manual (no digital code or cookie tracking).
You’ll receive your chosen bonus within 30 days of the new member making their first payment for the program.
If you choose cash, your $97 will be paid in USD via PayPal. (This means that there will be some fees on your side that I cannot prevent, but for business reasons, I will only send payments via PayPal.)
If you choose course credit, you can choose from any course I offer that does not have a live component (no Society credit, Root Fear Factor cohort, future live workshop ticket, Story Consult session, etc.)
You’ll earn the bonus for every qualified new member who joins and lists you as their referral. (No limit. If they list more than one referring person, I’ll split the bonus reward evenly amongst you.)

Here are some examples of what will not qualify for the bonus:

People who join the waitlist for a future cohort. (Qualifying referrals must enter your name as the referrer at the time of application for the currently open cohort.)
Referrals who apply but are not extended an invitation. (They must receive an invite and join as a paying member.)
Referrals who were previously members of the Story Sorcery™ Society.

The Application page for membership in the Story Sorcery™ Society doubles as the Waitlist sign-up page. When applications are open, the buttons will link to the application form. When we're not accepting new members, the buttons will go to an email capture form.

So if you try to refer someone and get confused about why they can't see the application, that's likely because we're between cohorts. Re-read the Important Details section for more information.

The Frequently Asked Questions section at the bottom of the Application page is thorough. You'll likely find what you need there.
